QUANG NINH, October 24 (Vietnam News / ANN): Groundbreaking ceremonies for four key projects were launched in Quảng Ninh province on Sunday, marking the reopening of one of Vietnam’s mainstay economies after a long hiatus due to Covid-19.
These projects included the urban area of ​​the Hạ Long Green complex in Quang Yen and Ha Long towns, the Dong Trieu golf course, the Quảng Ninh LNG power plant and the general port of Vạn Ninh. The series of projects, with a total value of more than 283.3 trillion yen (US $ 12.5 billion), demonstrated Quang Ninh’s efforts to develop the economy amid the impact of the pandemic in Việt Nam and in the world.
“The events are among the many positive initiatives of Quảng Ninh province to achieve the dual purpose, contribute to the goal of economic growth and celebrate the 58th anniversary of the founding of Quảng Ninh province,†Nguyen Thị Hạnh, vice -President of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province, said at the inauguration ceremony of Dong Trieu golf course.
Of these four key projects, the urban area of ​​the Ha Long Green Complex is the most important, with an estimated investment capital of nearly 232.4 trillion VN.
The project, which is invested by a consortium of Vingroup JSC and Vinhomes JSC, will become the new economic, cultural and tourist center of Quảng Ninh and the country.
Ha Long Xanh, which is deployed over an area of ​​over 4,100 hectares, is also slated to become a multifunctional urban area with luxury resorts and hotels, amusement parks and golf courses, helping to promote socio-economic development of Quảng. Ninh and significantly changing the socio-economic life of the inhabitants of the region.
The project is expected to contribute around 7,250 billion VN per year to the state budget, of which around 3,500 billion VN per year under value added tax and nearly 3,800 billion VN per year under corporate tax.
Dong Trieu Golf Course is located in Dong Trieu Town thanks to an investment from Silk Path Hotel JSC. The golf course is built on an area of ​​nearly 130 hectares, serving approximately 800 guests per day.
The golf course will also include low-rise accommodation projects, high-rise hotels, golf practice courses, entertainment areas and a premium eco-friendly resort space.
Its commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
Two other projects, which started on the same day, were the Quảng Ninh LNG power plant and the general port of Vạn Ninh (phase 1).
Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant Project is located in Cam Thinh district, Cam Pha town, with total investment capital of VN 47.48 trillion. It will be the first power plant using imported LNG in the northern zone with a planned capacity of 1,500 MW.
A joint venture of PV Power, Colavi JSC, Tokyo Gas and Marubeni is the project investor.
Once the project is completed, it will add a large amount of electricity to the national grid, ensuring energy security and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The general port of Van Ninh (phase 1) is located in the commune of Vạn Ninh with an investment from Vạn Ninh International Port JSC, with a total investment capital of over 2,200 billion VN. The project will contribute to the system of port infrastructure and services, helping to protect national security.
According to the People’s Committee of Quảng Ninh Province, in the first nine months of 2021, the province’s GDP grew 8.6 percent, higher than the same period last year, which was 8 percent. , 5 percent, but 1.1 percentage points lower than the growth scenario set at the start of the year (9.7 percent).
